Introduction to Stringed Instrument Construction

ID : 29675
« back to classes page
This class focuses on the fundamentals of acoustic stringed instrumental construction. Beginning students will build a ukulele from pre-machined parts as a means to get an overview of basic lutherie techniques. Those with previous experience may start from raw materials, build a more embellished instrument, or use this class as shop time with a professional luthier. Previous woodworking experience is not necessary to complete a beautiful instrument, and playing the instrument you’ve built yourself is fun and rewarding. Materials list available online.
